He was the designer and coordinator of the World Theatre Forum (WTF, Bharat Ranga Mahotsav 2014/15), the biggest international theatre festival in Asia, New Delhi, India. He was the festival mentor, advisor, jury and designer of the first Nepal international theatre festival, NITFest 2019. He was also the festival director, mentor, jury and designer of the Indo-Nepal Theatre Festival 2014, organized by Theatre Village Nepal. Apart from that, he has also been honored with OTG International Theatre Award 2016.
Beyond theatre, the artistic maestro has completed a filmmaking course from SRFTII and produced a well-acclaimed Nepali film Dying Candle. He has worked with FTII, India, and National Theatre School China, Beijing, National School of Drama (NSD), Maradokmai Community Theatre Thailand & National State Film and Television Institute of Rohtak, India. He was the department head of acting at Kantipur Film Academy and Nepal Film Academy. He is currently a faculty member at Oscal International Film College and Nepal Film Campus. He is visiting faculty of NSD. He was the guest lecturer at Seattle University, USA and Lausanne University, Switzerland. He also served to create syllabus for Tribhuwan Universty and many more. He was selected by Tribhuvan university for creating syllabus in film making course here in Nepal.
From completing a fellowship from Garmany, researching theatre managerial practices and contemporary performance-making processes in Europe to working as a casting director in India and Nepal, Subedi has worn many professional hats with great motivation to take the theatre world by storm and pass on the art to art-loving generations of tomorrow.
He examined and studied the very nuances of Nepali art and culture, and also observed and followed the behaviour and beliefs of people in Nepal. Through this very process, he has been successful in establishing a unique way of training which is deeply rooted in the oriental traditions of practice and methodology. This has strengthened the contours of Nepali art and culture and elevated it to great heights on a global platform. He has designed and directed more the twenty plays, both national and international.
