Trayam is a story of three women living in a same flat in Kathmandu. The story starts in a Saturday morning and ends in the evening. It metaphorically represents the three stages of life; past, present and future. Three times of the day; morning, day and evening. This play resonates with the current scenario of the women and at the same time revolutionizes the concept of female representation. With a critical overview of the patriarchal notion of the society, it vividly depicts women’s condition and questions how the men look at women with prejudice. With sharp penetration of their consciousness. The play disintegrates the cocoon and pushes women out of their closets.
